Hi everyone,

I hope that you all got your letters about the change to the schedule. The butterflies are going to do the first two weeks back after the holidays, then the ladybirds will start again. hopefully this will make it fair because the butterflies missed out on two weeks with Castleton and Parents’ evening.

Thanks

EARTH HOUR 2010
Sunday March 21st 2010, 4:01 pm

This Saturday (27.3.2010) at 8.30pm, people all around the world will be switching off their lights to show that they support action on climate change. Last year at Hursthead we involved ourselves in Earth Hour by celebrating a Green Day and we all wore something green to show that we were going to switch off our lights for the Earth Hour.

This year we are going to wear something bright to school on Friday, to show that we are going to turn off a light on Saturday at 8.30pm.

On FRIDAY, come to school wearing ONE ITEM of bright clothing to show that you are going to support Earth Hour this year.

WEAR SOMETHING BRIGHT, TURN OFF A LIGHT!

Hi everyone,

As part of our Ecoschools work in school, we are collecting any old football kits (shirts, socks, shorts, boots) for charity. If you donate any old kit, it will be given to children in countries such as Africa and Romania, so that they can reuse it.

If you would like to donate any football kits, children’s or adult’s, then please bring them into school and put them in the basket in Miss Dakin’s room.

Thanks everyone!
